Install between +5°C and +30°C on a sound substrate.
Mortars are prepared or supplied as work progresses.
The bedding mortar is leveled with a straightedge and laid in succession; thickness ≈ 4 cm (as uniform as possible).
Humidify the slabs in hot weather.
Mix products of different colors/shades from different batches on site.
Leave joints between slabs; complete joints with mortar no earlier than 24 h and no later than 72 h after laying; minimum width ≈ 5 mm (reduced as much as possible without compromising geometry).
Clean the pavement immediately after jointing to avoid any film or deposits on the slab surface.
Provide movement joints in accordance with regulatory requirements (10 m linear or 20 m²).
MAINTENANCE
Original colours are very stable; minimal maintenance with natural patina.
Applying a mineraliser facilitates cleaning and extends the life of the original surface appearance.
Not recommended: high-pressure cleaners and acidic products (risk of irreversible alterations).
Use de-icing salts in reasonable quantities, avoiding excessive residual accumulation.
