INSTALLATION
- Instructions of NF P 98 335 and fascicule 29 of the CCTG prevail.
- Installation is performed between +5°C and +30°C on a sound substrate.
- Mortars are prepared or supplied as work progresses.
- The mortar bedding is leveled with a screed and executed progressively. Its thickness should be as uniform as possible (~4 cm).
- Units should be dampened, especially in hot weather, and mixed if coming from different batches.
- Joints are left between units. Pointing with mortar is carried out no earlier than 24 h and no later than 72 h after laying. Minimum joint width: 5 mm.
- Movement joints must be provided according to standards (10 m linear or 20 m²).
- Immediately after jointing, the pavement must be cleaned to avoid any film or deposit on the surface.
MAINTENANCE
- Original colors are very stable; minimal maintenance required.
- Application of a mineral sealer will ease cleaning and prolong the appearance life.
- Not recommended: high-pressure cleaners and acidic products (risk of irreversible alterations).
- Use de-icing salts sparingly, avoiding excessive stagnant residues.
