Thermal Insulation Cavity Slab 32 is manufactured using NyRock® technology, a patented production process that creates a more thermally efficient fibre structure than standard ROCKWOOL stone wool and the lowest lambda stone wool insulation currently available in the UK & Ireland.1 Thermal Insulation Cavity Slab is supplied 455mm wide to fit standard vertical wall tie spacings and is available in 100mm and 150mm thicknesses. • The batt features an additive to make the product water repellent. • The batts come in a 455mm width to suit standard vertical wall tie spacings allowing a closely knitted joint with adjacent slabs. It is suitable for use in buildings of every purpose group (as classified within table 0.1 of Approved Document B), also acting as a cavity barrier when tightly fitted between masonry leaves where an insulated wall connects with an uninsulated wall cavity. The non-directional fibre orientation and density of ROCKWOOL stone wool helps absorb sound waves and dampen vibrations, reducing the transmission of external noise when used in external wall applications.
