Overview
Rouvière Collection microcement is a continuous, thin mineral decorative coating suitable for floors, walls, bathrooms, walk-in showers, kitchens, stairs, furniture and wellness areas. It delivers a seamless surface, high mechanical resistance and a contemporary aesthetic. Application is mainly by trowel; the final appearance depends on the applicator's technique.

Range and technical solutions
Rouvière Collection offers its microcement range and a technical selection named Ecobeton. The Ecobeton range includes several solutions — Microbond®, Ercole® and Poseidone® — adapted to specific uses according to required resistance and the environment.

Key points of Ecobeton solutions

• Microbond®: versatile decorative microcement, abrasion resistant, applicable on wood, concrete, metal, terracotta, tile; decorative solutions for interior and exterior use.
• Ercole®: ready-to-use microcement specially formulated for heavily loaded exterior surfaces (terraces, paths, ramps, trafficable surfaces); trafficable and resistant to freeze/thaw cycles and de-icing salts.
• Poseidone®: single-component decorative mortar for aquatic environments (pools, basins, fountains); decorative and waterproof finish, applied in layers of 4 to 10 mm, can be applied on concrete, shuttering agglomerates and polystyrene after waterproofing.

Finishes and protections

• Available finishes: single-component satin, two-component satin, two-component matt, two-component gloss.
• Protections and varnishes: Cerbero Base (first water-based protective coat), Cerbero Sealer (two-component water-based polyurethane finishes), GiGi Sealer (two-component polyurethane finishes), Sermiprotect (hydro/oleo and stain protection treatment).

Usage advice
Microcement is a trowel-applied coating: achieving a refined decorative finish requires skilled application. The choice of product depends on use and destination (interior/exterior, wet areas, heavy traffic). Proper substrate preparation is essential (assess adhesion, check for rising damp, apply primers or waterproofing as required).

Characteristics / technical specifications

• Nature: millimetric two-component coating (powder + resin) for the Rouvière Collection range; some Ecobeton products can be single-component (e.g. Poseidone®).
• Grain size: particularly fine, for precise trowel application and refined finishes.
• Application thickness: typically very thin (e.g. total coating of 4 mm for certain applications); Poseidone®: 4 to 10 mm in two layers depending on application.
• Colors: around 80 shades available for the Rouvière Collection microcement range; Ecobeton offers palettes (e.g. Gallery Colors 300 shades for some products).
• Adhesion: very high adhesion, applicable on many substrates (concrete slab, plasterboard, aerated concrete, certain boards such as Kerdi-Board, existing tiles after verification and preparation).
• Resistance: high mechanical and wear resistance; suitable for heavy traffic (shops, public spaces, restaurants, etc.).
• Wet areas: suitable for wet rooms, hammams, saunas (products and specific protocols for waterproofing and finishes).
• Reaction to fire: classification M1 (reaction to fire).
