OverviewThe BKF line of dual-purpose rectangular duct fans is designed for daily ventilation and emergency smoke and heat extraction. Suitable for professional, commercial and residential use. Certified for smoke extraction (EN 12101-3) and able to extract 400°C gases for 120 minutes while supporting continuous operation at elevated temperatures for normal ventilation.

Construction & Materials- Casing: Zinc‑magnesium coated steel (ZM).
- Impeller: Backward-curved impeller in galvanised or pre-galvanised steel.
- Motor: Single speed IE2 or two‑speed motors (page notes also reference IE3 for some configurations). Motor placed outside the air stream. PTC serial built-in motor protection.
- Duct connection: Rectangular flange connections.
Operation & Controls- Fire rating: 400°C / 120 min (F400) according to EN 12101-3 for smoke extraction.
- Continuous ventilation: rated for continuous transported air up to 120°C.
- Speed control: For single speed motors use a frequency converter with appropriate motor-side filter (sine or du/dt). When used for fire scenarios, frequency converters should be bridged or protected to guarantee function in case of fire (see product instructions).
- Installation: Possible in all positions; install either outside the building or inside (outside fire zone) in well ventilated rooms. Flange connection depth noted as 30 mm.
