OverviewThe OPTIMA-R-LV is a low-velocity VAV controller designed for demand-oriented ventilation in commercial and industrial HVAC systems. It extends reliable airflow control down to approximately 0.2 m/s and operates at very low duct pressures from 2 Pa.
How it worksThe controller uses a metallic measurement probe to continuously monitor dynamic pressure. Airflow is calculated from the probe signal and compared to the setpoint. When deviations occur, the actuator adjusts the damper position to maintain the target airflow, enabling precise control at low velocities and low static pressures.
Models- OPTIMA-R-LV — Non-insulated, single-skin galvanised steel casing.
- OPTIMA-R-LV-I — Insulated: double-skin casing with closed-cell foam mat for thermal and acoustic insulation.
- OPTIMA-R-LV-MOD — Non-insulated with Bus communication port (Modbus RTU or BACnet MS/TP).
- OPTIMA-R-LV-I-MOD — Insulated double-skin casing with Bus communication port (Modbus RTU or BACnet MS/TP).
Benefits- Accurate low-velocity control — reliable regulation from low to medium airflow velocities (from ≈0.2 m/s).
- Flexible operation — electric controller configurable for air supply or extract; MOD variants provide fieldbus integration (Modbus RTU or BACnet MS/TP).
- Actuator protection — control algorithm safeguards actuator movement under very low airflow conditions to prevent mechanical stress.
Features- Casing: circular galvanised steel casing (single-skin for non-insulated models; double-skin with closed-cell foam for insulated models).
