The automation kinematics are transformed into sophisticated formal and compositional dynamism, combined with refined textural matching and extreme attention to detail. Ten years after the first LAB experiments, in which the connection between artisan excellence and technological research brought to life the first automated kitchen made from travertine, corten steel, and select timber, the female duo of architects Bernhardt&Vella have interpreted with great formal elegance TM Italia’s iconic firstborn kitchen: Petra.
The doors of the columns are characterized by groove handles, alternating vertical or horizontal arrangement to create a modular design, a tribute to the sartorial uniqueness of TM Italia’s best creations. Materials and shapes create a play of surfaces and refinement: the bronze metal frame around each module in Ceppo di Grè or in Rovere Materico bruno oak, gives life to an abstract canvas rather than the surface of a kitchen furniture.
