EVOLVED MATTER Petra, a LAB project from 2008, represents the first stone kitchen by TM Italia with home automation equipment. The use of the local travertine is a tribute to the Piceno area. The three-dimensionality of travertine and Corten steel are combined with sophisticated technical devices, shape solutions, invisible technology, extreme usability of the interface.‎ The travertine island is made with a stratification of materials that guarantee lightness and solidity.‎ The travertine doors are feature aeronautical technology which involves the use of aluminum honeycomb structure to allow lightness and structural solidity, increasing the longevity of the hinges. In a few seconds, the monolith transforms into an articulated system equipped with an extractable oven, a television, and a sliding worktop that reveals the sink with extractable taps and the induction hob.‎ All the drawers have electro-assisted opening and internal LED lighting .‎
