The marble Grigio Carnico is an historic italian marble, extracted in the “Natural park of the Dolomiti Friulane” in the North East of Italy. The quarries are located at about 1600 metres above the sea and they’re covered by snow and ice for many months every year. The marble Grigio Carnico is extremely elegant because of its intense dark grey background and the presence of many irregular white veins, which creates a contrast that is fine and sharp at the same time. The slabs of Grigio Carnico show a bright luminosity after the polishing thanks to the compact structure of the marble. The marble Grigio Carnico is used for floorings, ventilate facades, claddings indoor and outdoor. The blocks are usually of medium-big sizes and available in good quantity. The marble Grigio Carnico is suitable of “book-match” installation and its strong color fosters combinations with other light marbles.
