Meadea Stone or Pietra Medea in italian is a North African limestone, also known as Grigio Foussana (Foussana Grey). The quarries are located in Tunisia and produce blocks which are usually cut in the sense of the veins. Therefore, the Medea Stone slabs have different colour tones, and they need to be selected in order to guarantee the color consistency for a project. The Foussana Grey has a good availability, and is characterised by its beautiful grey-brown colour, which has a neutral tone that can suits many settings, especially the big outside floorings. Sometimes, the Medea Stone slabs need to be resined. Another characteristic of this stone, is the presence of white crystals and dark “stains”.
