The Flushglaze fixed flat glass skylight can be tailored to meet many shapes and sizes from square, rectangular, triangular and a recently completed tear drop shaped. Glazing Vision will identify and design the rooflight to meet your needs. The Flushglaze is a very low profile system based on car windscreen technology, the glass being structurally bonded and triple sealed making it ideal for flat roof applications on a pitch of only 3-5 degrees. This reduces water ponding and condensation risks to a minimum by the elimination of internal flashings and metal framework and can be installed on flat or sloped roof applications. The rooflight can be extended to any length like ribbon glazing by linking sections either with glass to glass silicone seals, back to back angles or glass fins.

Due to the popularity of our roof terrace access rooflights, the designers at Glazing Vision have developed a design principle which can be used to offer a standard solution in both a free standing box rooflight or a 3 wall mounted version. Using these design principles cost and lead time reductions can be passed onto the customer.
The Sliding box rooflights are a great option for terraced access as it offers a physical structure and the fixed walls of glass provide a balustrade around the opening. It also allows you to continue your handrail right up to the point of leaving the box and stepping onto the roof terrace. The box rooflight consists of two sections, one fixed section and one sliding section. The sliding section slides over the fixed section to create 50% clear opening thus allowing the user to walk through and out of the rooflight. All the glass used is flush to allow water run off and easy cleaning, whilst maintaining maximum security.
All Glazing Vision sliding rooflights are low-noise in operation and have built in electronic solid-state controls with battery back-up, manual override, speed control and creep-speed sealing at end of travel as standard. Units are factory pre-assembled and tested, usually craned into position, fitted and commissioned within a day.

A glass roof will transform a room that has few or no windows into a light, naturally ventilated space. Particularly effective for kitchens, stairwells, restaurants and shops, they add height to a low room and can make a dramatic architectural feature. A light-filled glass building can be created from an existing flat-roofed building by simply replacing most of the ceiling with a lantern roof.
Double curvature
For the atrium entrance to a villa in Monaco we used curved glass to create an ogee profile to the roof.

|
Aluflam fire resistant glass roof is made in a patented aluminium profile system with narrow frames that gives full light effect in the building.
Our glass roof have the following features:
Narrow lines

The MX system allows sloped glazing to be created in Visible Grid or TrameVerticale.
These option gives specifiers the flexibility to construct sloped roofs, atria, canopies, valleys and pyramids, which are fully compatibles and visually consistent with the vertical façade.
MX Visible Grid
A special transom cap for the horizontal and vertical profiles reduce the collection of water on the slope.
The rafters and transoms are square cur and assembled using a penetrating transom principle.
MX Trame Verticale
There are vertical caps and silicone sealant on the transom with pressure blocks to prevent deflection under negative wind load pressure.
A minimum slope is available of 10° for single glazed units and 15° for double galzing.
Construction
The 8mm to 32mm infill is held by horizontal and vertical pressure plates for the visible grid system and by vertical pressure plates and horizontal pressure blocks for MX Trame Verticale.
Weather performance
Drainage is achieved from the transom ends through the rafters.
The grid system is glazed with an EPDM gasket to the inside and butyl tape to the outside. MX Trame Verticale has an infill gasket and silicone on the transoms.
|
|
The system is composed of a modular structure in aluminium profiles with large cross-section, including beams, wall fixing sections, gutters and support columns.
All components are produced to exclusive TENDER designs with accurately selected materials that are fully tested to ensure only the best functionality, reliability and duration.

VITRUM MIONI s.r.l. has devised and patented Calor-Lux an endowed skylight of a particular system of vertical opening that concurs the industrial buildings also with unfavourable weather conditions, assuring at the same time an optimal lighting system.
Moreover, the opportunity to use covers of various thickness and materials, on single or double wall, ensures the utmost quality and excellent results being durability and architecturally well thought out.
|
|
The Centered Skylights are made up of a system of centers in special extruded aluminium and covers made of compact polycarbonate, alveolar polycarbonate, polymethylmethacrylate or from the same combination.
These structures can be determined as to whether they are determined by different types of arched formations, and the skylights can be fixed or installed in opening dvices with manual or motorized movement, and the technical solutions depends on the dimensions and requirements of the Client.

Roof Lights - Structurally Silicone Bonded
Rather than relying on a traditional aluminium framework such as 'patent glazing' to support the double-glazed panels, why not have the glass do all the work?
Glass is a very strong material and can support great loads (see 'glass flooring' for more information). Also, the air within the double glazed units is a good insulator - hence the reason why it is hermetically sealed, to stop heat/cold transference.
Designing the glass roof light to be self-supporting, with no aluminium supports, results in a much lighter appearance, giving designers and their clients a bigger 'wow factor', and at the same time being more effective and efficient in insulating the property into which it is installed.
Glass is strong enough to cope with some significant loads, and is able to span up to 1700mm without deflecting (based on a 10mm toughened outer sheet, 16mm spacer and a 6mm toughened inner sheet).
|
|
Often viewed as being out of date, there are still good reasons to specify the use of patent glazing. Where there is a need to match the style of the building, patent glazing will complement the design.
Where minimal intrusions are required, the use of the inverted 'T' sections allows head heights to be maximized. Roof vents will need to be framed, rebated and gasketed - needing a patent glazing bar.
With a variety of thermally broken patent glazing bars available we are able to accommodate different loadings, subject to calculating the pitch of the roof, glass weights, etc.

Roof dome-shape is the best solution to settle a question about natural lighting.
Each intermediate element has 7 moulded stiffening ribs placed at a distance of 30 cm each other. It is 180 cm long.
By cutting can be obtained sub-multiples 60-90 cm long.
Thermoformed skylights are planned with raw plastic materials:
Acrylic PMMA, that has a warranteed behaviour (class 5) in case of fire. It has been UV stabilized for good weatherability and resistance prolonged sunlight exposure.
Policarbonate that gives brightness, gives a bigger endurance against fires and vandalic actions.
Domes can be planned in the following shapes:
- Vela: single wall, double wall
- Diamond: single wall, double wall

FT centre pivot windows are the most popular type of Fakro roof window sold. The well-designed centre pivot allows the sash to be opened in a range of positions, thus increasing the amount of fresh air which can be drawn into the room. The sash can also be rotated through 180° and locked, allowing easy and safe cleaning of the outer pane to be carried out. Such pivot windows are operated using a two-part hinge.
As the air inlet is positioned at the top of the frame, Fakro windows have a 6% greater surface area when compared with similar window sizes from other manufacturers.
This therefore increases the availability of light into the room.
There are three standard types of window in natural colours: FTS, FTS-V, FTP-V.
Non-standard window specifications, such as windows with automatic air-vents, are available to order: FTP-V/H, FTP-V/P.
