KFC units are a type of AHU, generally preferred for heating and cooling of independent areas. Especially preferred for multi-story business center projects by installing a separate unit to every floor in order to operate the units independent from each other. The aim of this installation is to determine the working time of separate floors by the user to reduce the total energy consumption of the building. Thanks to the innovative design of these units that theyare very compact and as the design is vertical, footprint is very small compared with a classical AHU. In addition, with this vertical design installation and maintenance of this unit is also easier for the user. KFC units are using chilled water for cooling and hot water for heating. It is possible to install the units to a duct or as an option a plenumbox can be installed on the unit to be operated as a floor standing A/C unit. The casing of the units is manufactured from steel or aluminum profiles. Units are covered with double-skin, insulated panels and provides a decorative appearance. Panels of the units are manufactured from galvanized sheet metal and painted with electrostatic powder paint. Up to 15 model, KFC units are manufactured as one piece and from KFC 15 to 30 models, they are manufactured as two pieces. Panel thicknesses are 50 mm, isolated with rockwool. As standard, double inlet centrifugal fans with forward curved blades are used. The fans are driven by a belt-pulley assembly. As options, double inlet centrifugal fans with backward curved blades or EC (Electronically controlled) plug fans can be preferred.
