Information on finishes and material
Low-carbon stainless steel, widely recognised for hygienic properties and excellent resistance to corrosion, suitable also for outdoor environments. Due to its chemical composition, stainless steel does not oxidise or rust when exposed to water and air. Its natural protective film makes the material durable and recoverable over time. CEA products are entirely manufactured using mechanical processes that preserve the unique properties of this material. The stainless steel used for CEA production is not chrome-plated nor galvanised, preserving its eco-friendly, fully recyclable and highly hygienic characteristics.

Special finish treatments, carried out on customer request, result from careful colour selection and technological development based on the high-thickness deposition of mixtures of zirconium and graphite powders. Through an evaporation process in sealed chambers (plasma), these powders condense and solidify, making the steel surface more resistant to cleaning detergents and saline air, and improving scratch resistance. In the Black Diamond version the surface is also resistant to limescale deposits thanks to an auto-lubricating characteristic that helps keep the product cleaner for longer. CEA special finishes emphasise stainless steel properties by increasing brightness and durability. All CEA special finishes are ecological and biocompatible.

Colour variations or shading are not manufacturing defects but characteristics linked to the production process, which keeps the material biocompatible and ecological. Colour shifts, seen as tone shades, can occur due to oxidation on contact with air, especially in BRONZE and COPPER finishes. The colour shift gives the product depth and a more natural effect.
