The famed Castle Howard has quite an eclectic history. It was begun in the early 1700�s and three Earls and one hundred years later, the large baroque mansion was still not finished. It was in more modern times after a terrible fire in the 20th century that it was actually completed and made livable again as most notably seen in the television series Brideshead Revisited in the 1980�s. The curved lines of the back of the Howard suite mimic many of the curves in baroque architecture and the furniture found at Castle Howard as it has been lovingly restored and lived in today by the current Howard family. The arms display the same curves as the higher back making for a comfortable seating position. Shown in our deluxe giotto brandy aniline leather this either two, three or four seat suite may be covered in a different deluxe, antiqued or premium leather or any fabric of your own choice. The Howard suite comes in four sizes, a club chair, a 2 seat love seat or 3 or 4 seat couch. The suite comes packaged as either: a loveseat and a 3 seat couch; two 3 seat couches or a 3 seat couch and two chairs. As we build to order, please contact us personally for any other combination. This suite has interesting details of overlapped decorative leather on the front piece surrounded by polished brass studs, welting on the overstuffed cushions, and hand covered buttons on this entirely hand crafted Howard suite.
