DescriptionThe Malvasia balustrade by EMMEGI Spa is engineered to provide mechanical resistance, durability and straightforward installation. It is primarily intended for residential applications and complies with the requirements of D.M. 14 June 1989, n. 236, with a minimum height of 1,100 mm and non‑permeability to a 100 mm diameter sphere. The system is designed to resist a linear horizontal service load up to 200 daN/m (2.0 kN/m).
Specification itemsThe Malvasia balustrade is a modular system composed of posts, a handrail and infill panels made from vertical tubular elements. The upper handrail consists of a steel tube Ø 80×3 mm fixed to the posts by mounting plates. Vertical posts are manufactured from IPE 100 rolled sections and include a base plate with four holes for anchoring to the supporting structure using threaded rods, mechanical anchors or equivalent systems. The infill consists of Malvasia-type panels formed by horizontal U profiles 50×25×2 mm to which vertical steel tubular elements Ø 20 mm are welded at a spacing of 117 mm, providing a clear opening between elements of 97 mm. The standard post spacing (panel width) is 1,992 mm.
