Overview
The DRC-C P2 is a flat roof access roof light that integrates daylighting and safe roof access. Designed for situations where vertical windows are impractical, it features a transparent dome and a purpose-selected glazing unit to maximise light transmission while maintaining safety and thermal performance. Gas springs and non-slip profile covers ensure safe and ergonomic use during roof access.

Design and usability
The unit is engineered as a flat access roof light combining wide access and daylight provision. A dedicated hinge system enables large sash opening angles to facilitate roof exit and entry. Optional locks (ZBR, ZBL/D) are available to reduce accidental closure in high wind or to restrict unauthorised opening.

Dome
The dome is manufactured from high-impact polycarbonate with protective coatings on both sides. Its transparent surface admits abundant natural light while providing UV protection and long-term resistance to external factors.

Glazing unit (P2)
The single-chamber P2 glazing unit incorporates inner P2A glass for basic forced-entry resistance and an outer toughened glass pane covered by a lifetime hail resistance warranty.

Frame
The frame is constructed from multi-chamber uPVC profiles in white (RAL 9010) filled with insulating material. It resists moisture and common cleaning agents, making it suitable for high-humidity interiors (bathrooms, laundries). The finish is low-maintenance with a light interior appearance for easy integration.

Operation and safety
Gas springs support safe opening and controlled closing of the sash to prevent sudden closure. Non-slip covers on access profiles improve footing when exiting onto the roof. Optional accessory locks (ZBR to reduce accidental closure; ZBL/D to prevent unauthorised opening) can be fitted.

Applications
Designed for flat roofs (0°–15°) in single-family dwellings, offices, industrial and public buildings. For special roof coverings such as gravel or green roofs, use the 15 cm XRD/W installation base to raise the unit above the roof surface for correct installation.
