A VAPOR CONTROL MEMBRANE YOU CAN RELY ON In recent years, there is a clear trend to have more energy-efficient buildings, which is also driven by building regulations. The roof is a large part of the building envelope and therefore has a significant impact on the flow of energy in and out of buildings. Vapor control membranes play a very important role in this. The V-Gard vapor control membrane is designed to be used as vapor control layer in our roofing systems. It consists of reinforced aluminium foil with self-adhesive bituminous backing, protected by a release film. The fiberglass reinforcement provides high strength to the membrane, which guarantees an excellent mechanical performance. V-Gard is available in standard and FR grade. Rolls are 1.08 m wide by 25 or 50 m long. Excellent vapor resistance V-Gard provides an excellent vapor barrier, with a vapor resistance value expressed by an Sd (equivalent air layer thickness) of >1,500 m. It is therefore suitable for most roofs. Resistant to foot traffic The engineered composition of V-Gard provides high resistance to static loading and dynamic impact. Its strong physical properties make it suitable for direct application onto metal decks, limiting the risk of tears caused by foot traffic. Cold installation - safe and easy to install The installation of V-Gard is part of a single-ply concept: it is a 100% cold and user-friendly process that does not require open flame. V-Gard can be adhered using primer to most substrates such as concrete, plywood, OSB and metal decks. The use of primer is not required on metal decks, unless otherwise specified by local regulations.
