Certifications & testingFRED is certified Class A2-S1, D0. FRED achieved a 25 minute Warrington fire test rating when tested on a load-bearing timber frame wall under a load of 8 kN per linear metre to BS EN 1365-1:2012 + corrigendum 2013. Additional accredited reports and reaction-to-fire evidence exist to support performance claims.
Application & usage- Intended for internal use. For external applications, FRED should be overcoated with a suitable fire-retarding flexible external coating or used in accordance with local building regulations.
- Can be spray-applied, roller-applied or brush-applied depending on project needs; when spray-applying, use an intumescent spray machine.
- Recommended spray equipment: TriTech T5 or machines of similar specification for intumescent spray application.
- When protecting exposed spray foam to achieve a Class B build-up, apply: spray foam → Supergrip FR fire-rated primer → FRED (build-up as required).
Colours & variantsAvailable colours include Orange (standard), White and Grey. Colour choice may affect finish appearance but not fundamental fire performance when applied per specification.
Environmental & safetyFRED is formulated with low VOCs, solvent-free characteristics and is described as non-toxic in normal use conditions. Refer to Safety Data Sheet for handling and PPE recommendations.
