Overview
Heating solution for large exterior surfaces (loading docks, parking driveways) where snow/ice prevention and safety are required. MAGNUM Outdoor Cable is designed to be fixed to reinforcement prior to pouring sand bed, concrete or asphalt.

System composition
Complete system including MAGNUM heating cable, two humidity sensors combined with outdoor temperature sensing and a purpose-built control cabinet tailored to project power requirements.

Cable construction & protection
The power conductor is integrally connected to the resistance core. An aluminium reinforcement jacket protects the resistance elements from mechanical damage and provides shielding against EMC to avoid interference with mobile phones, electrically operated garage doors/gates and security systems.
The cable features XLPE inner insulation and a chemical-resistant PVC outer sheath.

Complete systems
Watertight control cabinets (IP-65) are manufactured and sized according to the number of cables/mats and installed power. For larger installations, cabinets can include modulating power regulators up to 50 kW to limit peak loads and reduce energy consumption. Systems available for 230 V and 400 V.

Installation
MAGNUM Outdoor systems are calculated and designed per order. Cables are fixed directly to reinforcement before the sand bed, concrete or asphalt is poured.
