Overview
Especially for large paved areas such as loading docks, ramps and driveways where surface de-icing must be reliable. MAGNUM Outdoor Cable is fixed directly to reinforcement mesh before the sand bed, concrete or asphalt is placed. MAGNUM Outdoor is supplied as a complete system including heating cable, two sensor units (humidity + outdoor temperature) and a custom-made watertight control cabinet.

Construction and materials
The power conductor is uniquely connected to the resistance wire. An aluminium reinforcement jacket protects the resistance wires against mechanical damage and provides EMC shielding to prevent interference with mobile phones, electrically operated doors/gates and security installations. The cable has PTFE (Teflon) inner sheaths and a chemically resistant PVC outer sheath.

Complete systems
MAGNUM Outdoor installations are calculated and designed per order. A watertight control cabinet (IP-65) is manufactured and sized according to number of cables/mats and power. For larger projects the cabinet can be expanded with modulating power regulators up to 50 kW to avoid peak loads and save energy. The system can be implemented for both 230 V and 400 V networks.

Installation methods (complete systems)
MAGNUM Outdoor systems are calculated and designed per order. The cable is fastened to reinforcement mesh before pouring the sand bed, concrete or asphalt; the system accepts unrolled processing for mastic asphalt where specified.

Warranty
MAGNUM Outdoor Cable includes a 10 year warranty on the electrical function of the cable.
