Installation should be carried out between +5°C and +30°C on a sound substrate.
Mortars should be prepared or supplied as work progresses.
The mortar bedding is leveled with a straightedge and executed progressively. Its thickness should be as uniform as possible (~4 cm).
Slabs must be moistened, particularly in hot weather.
During installation, mix products of different colors/shades from different batches.
Joints are left between slabs. Joints should be filled with mortar not earlier than 24 h after laying and at most 72 h after. Minimum joint width: 5 mm.
Expansion joints should be provided in accordance with normative requirements (10 lm or 20 m²).
Immediately after jointing, clean the pavement to avoid any residue or deposit on the slab surface.
Maintenance
Original colours are very stable; minimal maintenance is generally sufficient as natural patina develops over time.
Application of a mineralising treatment will facilitate cleaning and prolong the life of the original surface appearance.
High‑pressure washers or acidic products are not recommended as they may cause irreversible alterations.
De‑icing salts should be used sparingly, avoiding excessive lingering residues.
