Installation
  • Provisions of standard NF P 98 335 and CCTG fascicle 29 prevail.
  • Installation should be carried out between +5°C and +30°C on a sound substrate.
  • Masonry mortars are prepared or supplied progressively as work advances.
  • The bedding mortar layer is leveled with a screed and laid progressively. Its thickness must be as uniform as possible (~4 cm).
  • Slabs must be wetted, especially in hot periods.
  • During installation, mix products of different colors and batches to avoid visible banding.
  • Joints are left between slabs. Joints are filled with mortar no earlier than 24 h and no later than 72 h after laying. Joint width should be as small as possible but not less than 5 mm.
  • Immediately after jointing, the surface must be cleaned to avoid film or deposits on the slab surface.
  • Expansion joints must be provided in accordance with normative requirements (10 ml or 20 m²).

Maintenance
  • Original colours are very stable; minimal maintenance is sufficient and natural patina develops over time.
  • Application of a mineralising treatment facilitates cleaning and extends the life of the original surface appearance.
  • Use of high‑pressure cleaners or acidic products is strongly discouraged (risk of irreversible alteration).
  • De‑icing salts should be used reasonably, avoiding excessive stagnant residues.
