OverviewMASTERGLASS® is a range of printed design glasses offering a variety of geometric textures. Each glass is printed by passing molten glass between engraved rollers, resulting in one smooth face and one engraved face. MASTERGLASS® provides refined aesthetics, adjustable privacy and, once tempered, safety suitable for the applications listed.
Applications- Interior fit-out: fixed and sliding partitions, glazed interior doors, shower panels or enclosures, balustrades, stair treads, floor panels.
- Furniture: tables, shelves, cabinetry, office furniture, reception counters, closet doors.
- Exterior applications: windows, entrance doors, façade cladding and balustrades, street furniture, balcony partitions.
Advantages- Four available patterns, suited to classic, timeless or modern atmospheres. The degree of visibility through the glass varies by pattern, offering adjustable privacy.
- MASTER-CARRÉ®: arrangement of small squares on a matte textured background, brings precision and geometry to perspectives.
- MASTER-LIGNE®: parallel glossy stripes printed on a matte background, creates a balance between transparency and concealment.
- MASTER-POINT®: texture composed of glossy dots that diffuse light and create a halo effect, for softer ambient lighting.
- MASTER-SOFT®: soft texture with delicate grain, blurs background details and softens the view with distance.
Characteristics / technical specifications- Summary table (Name | Thickness (mm) | Dimensions (mm) | Visual screening coeff. | Tempered Yes/No | Laminatable in MF Yes/No | Printed face position):
Name | Thickness (mm) | Dimensions (mm) | Vis. screen coeff. | Tempered | Laminatable in MF | Printed face position
MASTER-CARRE® | 4-6-8 | 4-6 : 3210 x 2000; 8 (square) : 3300 x 2040 | M | Yes | Yes | 1,4
MASTER-LIGNE® | M | 4-6 : 3210 x 2000; 8 (square) : 3300 x 2040 | M | Yes | Yes | 1,4
MASTER-POINT® | M | 4-6 : 3210 x 2000; 8 (square) : 3300 x 2040 | M | Yes | Yes | 1,4
MASTER-SOFT® | M | 4-6 : 3210 x 2000; 8 (square) : 3300 x 2040 | M | Yes | Yes | 1,4 - Notes related to the table: Other dimensions may exist.
MF = fixed measurement.
Positions indicated in standard configuration. - Light transmission: the light transmission of clear printed glasses ranges between 70% and 90% depending on pattern and thickness. Vision can be modulated from nearly transparent to obscuring. The 'visual screening' coefficient ranks translucency: H (High) = most obscuring, M (Medium) = mid level, L (Low) = least obscuring.
- Processing: depending on models, the glasses can be assembled in double glazing; laminated into STADIP® or STADIP® PROTECT safety laminated glass; laminated into STADIP® SILENCE acoustic safety laminated glass; tempered or coated (safety glass); shaped, bent, silvered, lacquered or sandblasted.
- Installation:
- Cutting: all printed glasses have an orientation; respect glass direction during cutting and positioning for a uniform result.
- Assembly: to facilitate maintenance, it is recommended to place the printed face on face 2, 3 or 4 of the double glazing.
- Installation: install according to applicable standards and regulations; respect orientation and aesthetic consistency when installing multiple panels.
- Standards: compliant with the requirements of EN 572-5 for patterned glass and EN 572-6 for wired patterned glass. Must be installed in accordance with safety standards and regulations in force.
