COMFORT IN EVERY PERSPECTIVE
Observe and reflect. Stretch and rest. Strengthen and self-overcome. Tempo represents a concept of urban integration that reinterprets the functionality of traditional banks through an elementary volume of straight lines. Creates a new generation of high capacity multiplatform bank designed by architect Garitaonaindia de Verá in collaboration with SETGA, where each citizen chooses their best position for use and enjoyment of public space.
STRUCTURE
TEMPO is an asymmetric bench with a total length of 4250mm. Its design is based on pure lines that cover all three-dimensional space. It stands out for its asymmetry starring a large laterally displaced backrest and its uneven and opposed supports. In addition, the large tubular armrest that divides the seat breaks with its linear continuity.
One of the highlights of this bank is the great versatility of use that allows the user. The lack of backrest on one of its sides prevents it from having a fixed position, allowing access to sit from any angle. On the other hand, its ergonomic design allows the user to use the seat-free backrest as a support point for a raised position.
MATERIALS
TEMPO combines the strength and integrity of corten steel with the presence and robustness of wood. The main structure composed of the supports and the backrest are made of corten steel. This type of steel is achieved through a controlled process of activation and chemical neutralization of the oxide.
