The SCV acoustic silencers with parallel cells from SINTEC have been specially designed for ventilation ducts.
Its construction, as in SPI silencers, is based on the layout of cells made of absorbing material, which are placed in between the air passages.
The cells from SCV silencers always have a thickness of 100mm. When air and sound waves go through the cells, they are reduced due to the dissipative action of the absorbing material.
The dampening performance of a silencer depends on the separation between the cells and its length, which is equal to the distance that the air must travel when going through.
The width of each cell is fixed to 100mm, whereas the separation between cells is made according to the following standards: 50, 60, 70 ,80, 90 and 100mm.
Composition
The cells are made of galvanised plate and rock wool featuring a protecting veil on both faces. The envelope of the cells has also been made of galvanised plate. This set is reinforced on the perimeter edges with two METU-type connecting flanges of 30mm, which are also used as fixing elements for the pipes.
