Description

Terramix Standard is formulated for plastering and repairing. It can be used on exterior and interior surfaces to give a hard, smooth, water resistant, crack resistant finish which is suitable for painting and wall paper. It can be applied to thickness of 3mm to 5mm. Application Method Surface Preparation: Ensure the surface to be covered is free of loose particles, dust, dirt, grease, oil, and paint. Absorbent and porous substrates should be moistened with water prior to the application of Terramix. Bonding: Under extreme climatic conditions and on very absorbent or porous surface the standard code of practice for the use of cementitious products should be followed. Priming and/or the addition of Terrabond A to the mixing water in the ratio of 1:15 is recommended. Mixing: Mix thoroughly with the recommended water addition in a high speed mixer (such as the Terraco SM 50 or SM 100) or with a hand agitator for 3 – 5 minutes. In normal conditions, let Terramix stand for 5 minutes, then re-stir and use. Application: Terramix is trowel applied and levelled with a steel float. Smooth finishing can be achieved with a wooden or foam float when the Terramix has ‘set’. The float should be moistened during the smoothing operation. A completely smooth surface is obtained if loose particles are removed with a soft brush when the Terramix is dry.
