Application The eight-floor, 3,000-space Excalibur Hotel & Casino parking garage is the third parking structure with Cambridge metal mesh along Frank Sinatra Boulevard in Las Vegas joining projects at the Aria and Bellagio casinos. Accommodating visitors, casino employees and hockey fans, the $54-million garage is connected by walkway to the new T-Mobile Arena, home to the Las Vegas Golden Knights NHL team. Function With more than 31,610 square feet of a custom Scale mesh pattern, the garage is Cambridge first large-scale, multi-tone powder coat project. The translucent mesh hues of gold and brown are enhanced at night and complement the colors of the neighboring Arena. It includes matching powder-coated structural elements fabricated by Cambridge to attach the mesh. Benefit Cambridge -- a participant in the International Parking Institute's Green Star program for sustainability -- uses a cold forming process for the mesh that generates less environmental impact than processes for heat-treated products. The mesh is made from recyclable materials, is not susceptible to weather, is virtually maintenance-free and has an indestructible life cycle.
