Addressable systems work on a 2 wire loop system, each of the devices has an address and can reply back to the control panel giving its address and status. The control panel then analyses the data to establish the status of the device and can report devices as being normal, fault, pre-alarm and fire. The intelligent beam detector with automatic alignment comprises a transmitter, a receiver and an alignment motor in the same housing for quick and simple installation. The detector automatically compensates for environmental effects on the beam signal by a combination of drift compensation and motorised realignment of the beam.
