Description

Product description
  • Skynet is a disposable formwork system made of recycled plastic for structural concrete fills and height compensations, designed to replace unstable fill materials (compacted soil, gravel) with engineered ribbed slabs supported by structural pillars.
  • The system is compliant with Eurocode (EC2), NTC2018 and ACI213 for design and execution of ribbed slabs and pillars.

Key components
  • Base grid forming the modular layout
  • Vertical casting pipes for structural pillars: Ø250 mm or Ø300 mm
  • Top-support pipes: Ø125 mm (left empty during casting to direct concrete to pillars and slab)

Benefits
  • Reduces in-situ concrete volume by creating 25–35 cm lightened bidirectional slabs
  • Modular system enabling slab heights up to 3 m and variable pillar spacing
  • Intuitive and fast installation — reported site time savings exceeding 80%
  • High load-bearing capacity through ribbed-slab geometry and discrete pillars
  • Compatible with foundations and expansive soils via the Flex Base component
  • Supports sustainable construction by using recycled materials and optimizing concrete use

Applications / Solutions
  • Lightweight structural fill
  • Foundations for large buildings and industrial facilities
  • Modular access ramps and stairs
  • Shoring and mitigation on expansive soils
  • Filling of plinths and podiums
  • Plaza and amenity decks

Field of application
  • Over existing or new foundations to create raised ribbed slabs
  • Over expansive (swelling) soils where ground movement must be decoupled from the bearing structure

Flex Base
  • Flex Base supports vertical pipes during casting and provides controlled release for the pipes under soil thrust, allowing ground expansion without transferring excessive loads to the bearing structure.

Technical specifications
  • Material: recycled plastic (disposable formwork)
  • System composition: base grid, Ø250/Ø300 mm pillar pipes, Ø125 mm top-support pipes
  • Typical slab thickness (lightened, bidirectional): 25–35 cm
  • Modularity: slab heights up to 3 m; adjustable pillar spacing per project
  • Installation: suitable for foundations and expansive soils; intuitive on-site assembly
  • Performance: reduces concrete use by directing casting to pillars and slab only
  • Standards: Eurocode (EC2), NTC2018, ACI213
