The dramatic end result received worldwide acclaim.The PTFE Fibreglass membrane roof is suspended from four main masts by steel rods and required specialist on-site monitoring during erection to ensure that temporary loads did not exceed final design loads. Complex geometry and careful attention to detail was needed to achieve the intricate interface between glass and membrane.
