Overview
The Video doorbell HmIP-CODB provides high-resolution video and natural two-way audio to see and speak with visitors. It supports flexible installation: rechargeable battery operation (nominal 5,200 mAh) or direct mains wiring (5 V DC or 12–24 V AC). The enclosure is rated IP65 and includes automatic infra-red night vision and local person detection to reduce false alarms.

Operation & installation
The device can operate on the internal rechargeable battery or be connected to existing doorbell wiring (5 V DC or 12–24 V AC). When wired, the battery is maintained automatically. Notifications and remote access are provided via the Homematic IP app; the live video feed can be opened immediately on a smartphone when the doorbell is pressed.
