Description
GRANUTEC® E is a vermiculite, natural mineral from the micas range, mainly consisting of magnesium silicate and hydrated aluminum.
This mineral presents golden lamellar flakes, which have the property to exfoliate while heated up to a temperature nearly 800-900°C due to a thermal shock.
This phenomena which is carried out along the «exfoliation» industrial process, leads to the formation of very light particles with a “accordion” type shape.
GRANUTEC®E is non-combustible and can be used at temperatures up to 1100°C, hence its high fire resistance.
Lightweight and handy, vermiculite is used in numerous industrial sectors such as construction, industry, agriculture and horticulture.
