Product overview
MAGNUM Ideal frost-free heating ribbon is a plug‑in heating cable designed to prevent freezing and burst of outdoor taps, drains and water pipes. It provides automatic temperature control via a built‑in bi‑metal thermostat and is supplied with a 2 m connection cable and earthed plug. Available in lengths from 1 to 48 metres at 10 W per metre.

Operation and use
The ribbon turns on automatically below +5°C and switches off when the pipe temperature exceeds +13°C. It is applied along the pipe in spiral or straight runs to maintain a frost-free surface temperature. For plastic (PVC) pipes, wrap the pipe completely with aluminium tape before applying the heating ribbon to ensure correct heat transfer.

Installation
Fix MAGNUM Ideal to pipes using aluminium tape or plastic ties. Always fit polyethylene pipe insulation with a minimum wall thickness of 10 mm over the assembly for optimal protection and energy-efficient operation. Follow local electrical installation rules and ensure the cable and plug are used only outdoors as specified.
