Description
ECLAZ® ZEN succeeds ECLAZ® ONE. It is an insulating double glazing that balances solar gain and thermal protection: it blocks about half of solar heat in summer while ensuring improved thermal insulation in winter. Designed to reduce the use of artificial lighting, air conditioning and heating according to the season, ECLAZ® ZEN improves indoor comfort year-round. ECLAZ® ZEN belongs to the ECLAZ® coated-glass range and is also included in the “les engagés” line, which groups solutions focused on environment, health and well-being.

Applications
ECLAZ® ZEN is specifically designed for use in double or triple glazing and is suitable for all facades. It is compatible with the low-carbon substrate ORAÉ®. Optional treatments can be combined to enhance specific aspects of the glazing:

• Safety to protect people and property: STADIP® PROTECT
• Acoustic improvement to reduce external noise: STADIP® SILENCE
• Self-cleaning treatment to reduce maintenance: BIOCLEAN®

Performances
ECLAZ® ZEN reduces heating and cooling needs by 16% compared with a previous-generation double glazing (before 2000). It shortens the overheating period by 34%, reducing the hours above 26°C during hot months without requiring air conditioning or shading, compared with an older-generation double glazing without thermal control or LOW-E. ECLAZ® ZEN can meet RE2020 requirements thanks to the balance between its thermal insulation coefficient, light transmission and solar factor.

TL (visible light transmission): measures incoming light; the higher the value, the brighter the interior.
g (solar factor): measures transmitted solar heat; the lower the value, the greater the solar filtering (solar control).
Ug: thermal insulation coefficient; the lower the value, the better the thermal performance.
