OverviewSTADIP® SILENCE is an acoustic laminated safety glass composed of two or more glass plies bonded by one or more PVB Silence acoustic polyvinyl butyral interlayers. It provides enhanced sound insulation while maintaining safety performance (glass fragments remain adhered to the interlayer in case of breakage). STADIP® SILENCE 22.1Si consists of two 2 mm glass plies bonded by a 0.38 mm PVB Silence (Si) interlayer and has the same weight and thickness as a conventional 4 mm glass, facilitating fabrication and installation.
Sustainable positioningSTADIP® SILENCE belongs to the "les engagés" range, which gathers solutions with improved environmental, health and well‑being impact. Products in this range aim to excel on at least one pillar of sustainable construction: energy & carbon, resource & circularity, health & well‑being.
Applications- Glazed facades and windows: reduces external noise, suitable for exposed areas (shopping streets, stations, airports).
- Roofs: reduces impact noise from rain and hail.
- Interior partitions (offices, meeting rooms): improves indoor acoustic comfort.
BenefitsSTADIP® SILENCE adapts to various environments and requirements, offering an acoustic and safety glazing solution for many applications.
- Acoustic insulation: significant improvement thanks to the PVB Silence interlayer, outperforming standard glazing of equivalent composition.
- Mechanical resistance and safety: maintains safety performance, reducing injury risk in case of breakage (fragments adhere to the interlayer).
Performance (general information)Acoustic performances are measured in laboratory (Saint‑Gobain Acoustic Laboratory, Compiègne) according to NF EN ISO 140‑1, 140‑3 and EN ISO 717. STADIP® SILENCE complies with EN 12543 and bears CE marking. Environmental and Health Declaration Sheets (FDES) are available in the product documentation.
