Description

Description
STADIP® PROTECT is a range of laminated safety glass made of multiple glass plies combined with one or more polyvinyl butyral (PVB) interlayers. It provides protection against injury from breakage, prevention of falls, burglary and vandalism, and includes specific solutions for ballistic and blast resistance while maintaining light transmission and façade aesthetics.

Applications
  • Windows and patio doors for residential and public buildings
  • Roof glazing and atria to prevent falling glass
  • Balustrades and stair glazing to prevent falls
  • Anti-vandal and anti-burglary solutions for shops, museums, residences and financial institutions
  • Ballistic and blast protection for high-risk sites (banks, embassies, industrial facilities)

Advantages
STADIP® PROTECT adapts to diverse environments and requirements, providing a secure and aesthetic glazing solution for a wide range of applications.
  • High impact resistance: reduces injury risk and prevents accidental falls through glazed elements.
  • Cut-injury prevention: in case of breakage the PVB interlayer holds fragments in place.
  • Aesthetic integration: effective protection without compromising façade appearance and often reduces the need for additional closures.

Performance
Composition of laminated glazing
Component thicknesses are defined according to dimensions and exposure to climatic loads. At least one 0.38 mm PVB interlayer is used for STADIP®; for certain fall-protection solutions at least two 0.38 mm PVB films (or one 0.76 mm film) are used.
