SummarySolar control glass with high selectivity and a neutral aesthetic.
DescriptionInsulating glass units incorporating COOL-LITE® SKN 155 or SKN 155 II provide high solar protection. They block 73% of incoming solar heat while transmitting approximately 50% of visible light, offering a balanced compromise between solar control and natural daylight (selectivity ≈ 1.85). The neutral appearance and low external reflection integrate easily into various façade designs. Available in annealed and tempered versions. Typical composition: 6-16-4 with the coating on face 2.
Applications- Offices, hospitals, schools, sports centres
- Retail premises, restaurants
- Large glazed façades and south/west-facing openings
- Conservatories and roof glazing for year-round thermal comfort
Additional options- STADIP® PROTECT: laminated safety glass to protect occupants and assets
- STADIP® SILENCE: laminated glass for acoustic reduction
- BIOCLEAN®: maintenance-easing coating (available only in laminated configuration, with BIOCLEAN® on face 1 and COOL-LITE® SKN on face 4)
- CLIMAPLUS® SCREEN: integrated blinds for improved visual comfort
Availability- Monolithic glass: thicknesses 6, 8 or 10 mm
- Standard dimensions: 6000 x 3210 mm
- Substrates: PLANICLEAR® as standard, DIAMANT® on firm order, ORAÉ® for certain configurations
- Also available as laminated safety glass (from 44.2 up to 1010.2), in STADIP® PROTECT or STADIP® SILENCE versions
Benefits- High solar protection (solar factor g = 0.27) limiting overheating and cooling demand
- Excellent thermal insulation (e.g. Ug = 1.0 W/m²·K in typical double glazing)
- Neutral appearance and low reflection (approx. 15% from outside)

Instructions for useCOOL-LITE® SKN 155 and SKN 155 II must always be assembled into insulating glazing with the coating placed on face 2 (inside the IGU). Edge deletion of the coating is mandatory. COOL-LITE® SKN 155 II must always be tempered before IGU assembly. The product can be supplied with temporary surface protection for handling.
