Description

Description COOL-LITE® ST BRIGHT SILVER is a solar control glass with a very neutral, bright and transparent appearance. The finish is a clear, reflective silver. The coating is obtained by magnetron sputtering of multiple noble metal layers under vacuum. Available on different substrates (PLANICLEAR®, DIAMANT®, ORAÉ®), it provides a modern, bright and neutral aesthetic with effective solar protection and daytime visual privacy. Typically used in insulating glazing, the coating is always positioned on face 2, toward the interior of the insulating unit. It can be tempered, laminated as safety glass, curved, printed or enamelled while retaining its technical and aesthetic characteristics.

Applications
  • Outer skin of double-skin ventilated or breathable façades.
  • Glass louvers or sunbreakers.
  • Glass balustrades and doors.
  • Residential use for daytime visual privacy (requires significant interior/exterior light contrast).

Advantages
  • Additional solar protection while preserving a high level of natural light transmission.
  • Bright, neutral appearance suitable for high-quality façade aesthetics.
  • Daytime visual privacy.
  • Wide processing flexibility due to durability and ease of transformation.
  • Can be combined with enhanced thermal insulation glazing (e.g. ECLAZ®) to improve thermal performance.
  • High durability in single glazing when the coating is placed on face 2.

Performances Performance values for double glazing 6*(16)4 with coating on face 2 (values depend on substrate):
COOL-LITE® ST BRIGHT SILVER with ECLAZZEN — Double glazing 6*(16)4 (Substrate ORAÉ® / Substrate PLANICLEAR® / Substrate DIAMANT®)
Visible light transmission (TL): 60% / 60% / 61%
External visible reflection (RLext): 34% / 34% / 34%
Internal visible reflection (RLint): 34% / 34% / 34%
Solar factor (g): 0.46 / 0.46 / 0.47
Selectivity (TL/g): 1.30 / 1.30 / 1.31
Thermal transmittance Ug (W/m2.K): 1.0 / 1.0 / 1.0
Carbon footprint (Kg CO2 eq./m2): 22.04 / 30.34 / 29.15

Additional options
  • Combine with STADIP® PROTECT for occupant and asset protection.
  • Combine with STADIP® SILENCE for acoustic reduction.
  • CLIMAPLUS® SCREEN for integrated blinds and visual comfort.

Technical characteristics / specifications
  • Commercial name: COOL-LITE® ST BRIGHT SILVER.
  • Type: solar control glass with multilayer metallic coating (magnetron sputtering under vacuum).
  • Coating position: face 2 (interior of the insulating unit) for double glazing; in single glazing the coating should remain oriented toward the building interior (face 2).
  • Available substrates: ORAÉ®, PLANICLEAR®, DIAMANT®.
  • Available monolithic thicknesses: 6 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm.
  • Maximum dimension available: 6000 x 3210 mm.
