PresentationHigh-performance solar control glass that preserves natural daylight. COOL-LITE® XTREME 61/29 and 61/29 II (temperable version) are very high-performance solar control glazings offering exceptional selectivity and aesthetic neutrality. They provide a very neutral colour appearance regardless of viewing angle, low light reflection and high performance.
Selected for- Energy savings: reduces lighting and cooling consumption (selectivity > 2).
- Reduced heating losses (Ug = 1.0 W/m².K).
- Thermal comfort: limits the risk of overheating in summer and avoids cold-surface sensation in winter (suitable for conservatory roofs).
- Visual comfort: maximises natural daylight for a given solar protection level, with optimal external views.
Applications- Glazed façades to maximise natural light while ensuring occupant comfort and well‑being.
- Atriums for natural illumination with controlled overheating.
- Conservatories and rooflights for year‑round thermal comfort.
AdvantagesAESTHETICS: very neutral appearance and low reflection, meeting the trend for highly transparent façades.
ENERGY EFFICIENCY: reduces energy use through high daylight transmission, strong solar protection and good thermal insulation.
OCCUPANT COMFORT: combines brightness, thermal insulation and solar protection. Improved visual comfort during daytime (high natural light) and evening (low, neutral internal reflection).
PerformancesThe coatings are combined with ORAÉ® (low carbon glass), PLANICLEAR® (clear glass) or DIAMANT® (extra-clear glass) substrates.
Synthetic table (values according to EN 673 and EN 410, calculated with 90% Argon fill for double glazing and 85% for triple glazing):
COOL-LITE® XTREME 61/29 — Double glazing 6*(16)4 with coating on face 2 (ORAÉ® substrate) — Visible light transmission (TL): 61% — External light reflection (Rle): 11% — Internal light reflection (RIi): 14% — Solar factor (g): 0.29 — Selectivity (TL/g): 2.10 — Ug (W/m².K): 1.0 — Carbon footprint (Kg CO2 eq./m²): 22.04
Double glazing 6*(16)4 PLANICLEAR® substrate — TL: 61% — Rle: 11% — RIi: 14% — g: 0.29 — Selectivity: 2.10 — Ug: 1.0 — Carbon footprint: 30.34
Double glazing 6*(16)4 DIAMANT® substrate — TL: 62% — Rle: 11% — RIi: 14% — g: 0.29 — Selectivity: 2.14 — Ug: 1.0 — Carbon footprint: 30.90
Triple glazing 6*(16)4(16)*4 with coating on face 2 and ECLAZ® LUMI on face 5 (PLANICLEAR® substrate) — TL: 56% — Rle: 13% — RIi: 16% — g: 0.27 — Selectivity: 2.07 — Ug: 0.5 — Carbon footprint: 44.77
Additional options for enhanced comfort: STADIP® PROTECT (safety), STADIP® SILENCE (acoustic), CLIMAPLUS® SCREEN (integrated blinds).
Usage instructionsCOOL-LITE® XTREME 61/29 and 61/29 II must always be assembled in insulating glazing with the coating positioned on face 2. Edge deletion of the coating is mandatory for both products. COOL-LITE® XTREME 61/29 II must always be tempered before assembly into double glazing.
