East Indian satinwood captivates the observer with its lovely sheen which, in combination with the yellow hue, creates a sunny impression. Especially on the radial plane, a satiny glow is created by
the uniform and dense vertical grain. Clearly distinct growth zones give the veneer figure its striped pattern. Frequently occurring grain deviations and double cross-grain make work with this wood particularly challenging.
