Anyone who looks long enough at the vibrant figured veneer of laurel burl takes an imaginary trip down labyrinthine and mysterious paths. The routes through the annual growth lines snake their way between the different sized and multi-peaked mountains formed by scattered groups of burls. This adventurous character is reinforced by the yellowish green to reddish brown tones that give the wood a mysterious depth.
