Description Graphic display is a guide only, we do advise ordering a sample before placing your order. HISTORY The Black Watch, 3rd Battalion, Royal Regiment of Scotland is an infantry battalion. Prior to 2006, the Black Watch was an infantry regiment. The Black Watch clan is well recognised sett and has been differenced by many clans, for example the Campbell clan with a lightened variation, the Grants, Munros and Sutherlands. The full Black Watch tartan is a lovely tricolour of a blue, black, and green subdued tartan, benefiting as camouflage more than dress, associated with the Campbell due to role in the Black Watch and other Government forces. There a a good few variations of the Black Watch sett. Motto: Nemo me impune lacessit (No one provokes me with impunity) Badge: Cap badge of the Royal Regiment of Scotland. ABOUT THE CARPET Materials: All of our carpets are 80% British Wool and 20% Nylon. Woven 8 row Axminster with a heavy commercial quality.
