HISTORY The Adam clan is recorded from the 13th century most commonly in the lowlands, also with connections to the Gordon clan of the North East. The Adam tartan contains a rich mix of green blue and reds with white and black. Crest: A cross crosslet fitchée Gules surmounted by a sword in saltire Proper Motto: CRUX MIHI GRATA QUIES [from Latin: The cross gives me welcome rest] Seat: Blair Adam, estate in Kinross-shire. No currently recognised Clan Chief, or armigerous clan. ABOUT THE CARPET Materials: All of our carpets are 80% British Wool and 20% Nylon, woven, 8 row Axminster, with a heavy commercial quality.
