Description

Overview
Toproc Rapid is a range of rapid-setting, high early strength concretes formulated to provide rapid hardening and targeted early strength to enable shorter construction programmes and faster formwork turnaround. The mixes are designed to accelerate initial hydration so that strengths normally achieved at 28 days can be obtained within hours when specified.

Key benefits
  • Reduced on-site disruption and lower risk of delay penalties through fast attainment of specified early strength.
  • Flexible scheduling: early strengths can be specified for target times (for example 15, 24 or 48 hours) to recover programme time.
  • Advanced accelerating systems that enhance both early and long-term performance.
  • Increased formwork rotation for walls, columns, slabs and beams, enabling faster construction cycles.
  • Compatible with macro fibres to replace A-grade crack-control mesh where appropriate.
  • High ultimate strength combined with rapid early gain.
  • Comparable placing effort to conventional concretes and compatible with pumping.
  • Optimises site operations and saves time on critical programmes.
  • Available in variants to match project timing and strength requirements.

Applications
  • Multi-storey and podium car parks
  • Airport pavements and aprons
  • Access roads and estate roads
  • Dockyards, quays and port infrastructure
  • Crane bases and heavy equipment foundations
  • Industrial and commercial floor slabs
  • Rail networks and trackbed applications
  • Water control structures such as reservoirs and flood defences
  • Any time-critical or disruption-sensitive construction requiring early access

Additional information
Toproc Rapid mixes are supplied in variants to meet different strength/time targets and are engineered to achieve specified strengths within timeframes from 15 to 48 hours. Microstructure-optimised formulations accelerate the initial hydration process to deliver rapid strength gain while maintaining long-term durability. The product range can be used with macro fibres for value engineering and enhanced durability where specified.
