The Gimbal recessed spotlight is a compact, high-precision swivel luminaire with a cardanic suspension for precise accent lighting and very shallow recess depths. It is designed for differentiated lighting design in retail, museums and public buildings where exact beam alignment and high-contrast presentation of objects are required.

Special features

• Oval flood freely rotatable: ERCO Spherolit oval flood lens can be rotated 360° to align lighting to objects.
• Cardanic suspension: permits very precise adjustment of the light beam, especially effective with high ceilings.
• Covered or flush mounting detail: recessed luminaires have overlapping installation details; flush mounting rings available as accessories.
• Shallow recess depth: compact design developed for tight installation situations while maintaining high quality of light.

Product description
The Gimbal principle transfers traditional gimbal suspension to modern LED lighting, offering a highly precise swivel mechanism in a compact design. Multiple sizes and wattages with a broad range of light distributions make Gimbal suitable as a system for accent lighting and object emphasis. Its visible technoid appearance in the ceiling fits retail, museum and public interior projects.

  • Oval flood: 360° rotation.
• ERCO LED-module
  • High‑power LEDs available in warm white (2700K, 3000K) and neutral white (3500K, 4000K).
  • Collimating lens made of optical polymer.
• Mounting ring
  • Covered mounting detail standard.
  • Fixing for ceiling thicknesses: 1–25 mm (size 4) or 1–30 mm (sizes 5–7).
  • Polymer, white. For flush mounting: separate mounting ring to be ordered, fixing for ceiling thicknesses of 12.5–25 mm.
