Overview
The HmIP-COL Outdoor Light Camera combines a 4 MP surveillance camera and a dimmable LED light in a weatherproof IP65 housing. Designed for wall mounting, it provides integrated illumination and monitoring for entrances, driveways and pathways with app control and local storage options.

Functionality and usage
The device streams live video to the Homematic IP app for remote viewing and sends push notifications when motion is detected. Brightness and schedules are configurable in the app. The camera supports horizontal swivel (pan) up to 120° for targeted coverage and a frame rate adjustable between 1 and 25 fps. Local recording is available via microSD up to 256 GB; short event clips can be stored in the cloud (limited retention).

Applications
Intended for front door and entrance surveillance, driveway and path lighting, and integration into Homematic IP smart home setups to coordinate lighting and sensor-driven automations. Suitable for residential and light commercial perimeter monitoring.

Smart notifications
On activity detection the system sends push notifications to authorized users, allowing immediate access to the live stream. Automated horizontal tracking helps keep relevant subjects in view for clearer event assessment.
