Overview
BORDERTEC BCS perimeter edging profiles trim and protect the exposed concrete edge of balconies and terraces tiled with 12.5 mm ceramic tiles. The profile's indented lip allows the tiled surface to be laid flush, providing a clean junction between tile and edge.

Terminal profiles / Drainage
The profile includes a protruding drip edge that protects the DRAINTEC 8 drainage mat placed between the mortar bed and the waterproofing membrane. Always allow an expansion gap between dissimilar materials and conceal it with an appropriate joint profile or accessory.

How to install border profiles for balconies

• Selection: choose the profile height matching tile height plus screed thickness.
• Positioning: install the profile along the exposed edge and fix it during tile laying to ensure alignment with the tiled surface.

Accessories

• Bordertec BCSE: external corner accessory for creating precise external corners compatible with BCS profiles.
• Bordertec BCSG: linear joint for connecting two BCS borders; leave approx. 20 mm gap for correct thermal expansion. The joint can be fitted after profile installation.
