Description

Acoustic Insulation for Circular Services. Unwanted noise transferred through pipework, can often be disrupting to building occupants. ROCKWOOL Techtube is a high performance acoustic solution for numerous types of pipework and equipment that combats these performance challenges. ROCKWOOL Techtube is a pre-formed pipe section layered with Acoustic Membrane and a reinforced aluminium foil outer. It has been specially engineered to facilitate the highest standard of noise control to pipework and circular ductwork. Techtube can provide thermal and acoustic insulation to ductwork and equipment operating at temperatures ranging from 0˚C to 230˚C, though outer facing temperatures should not exceed 80˚C. All joints should be taped with self-adhesive foil tape, the insulation is generally secured with aluminium bands at approximately 200mm maximum centres. The superior acoustic performance is maintained by preserving thickness at corners, bends and fixing locations ROCKWOOL Techtube is easy to apply as one single application, allowing for efficient installation. The material can be simply cut with a sharp knife, so it is easy to install around bends, etc. Techtube has excellent insulation properties for equipment operating up to 230ºC and is suitable for common HVAC applications.
