In contrast to the softly flowing grain of the sycamore burl, the cluster figure of the sycamore has an irregularly structured character produced by the scattering of clusters against an otherwise quiet background. It's easy to distinguish the figured areas from the plain and simple cluster-free zones. The recurring figure gives the veneer a vibrant aura which is enhanced by the warm and inviting range of tones from orangey light brown to reddish light brown.
