Green roof anti-root membrane

Urbanscape Root Membrane is a black recycled LD polyethylene root protection membrane for green roofs. It prevents root penetration and protects the waterproofing layer while remaining lightweight and easy to handle.

Installation

• Install the Urbanscape Root Membrane below the drainage layer on green roofs.
• If the waterproofing membrane is not root-resistant, cover it with the Urbanscape Root Membrane with at least 0.5 m overlap on all sides.
• Overlap adjacent root membrane layers by 1–1.5 m; fixing the membrane during installation is recommended for best results.
• Cut the material where drain baskets must be installed; avoid cutting directly on the waterproofing membrane.
• For safety and to protect the waterproofing, use a hook cutter; do not use a sharp blade or knife.
• After installation, the root membrane should be covered within 24 hours.
